Let's Talk: Olive Oil

Today I want to share with you a little tip to improve your home cooking!

As I have been teaching more private lessons recently, I realized that I always start my cooking portion off with the same topic - olive oil. Just how I believe in the quality of the produce and food we give ourselves, I am a huge believer in the quality of our olive oil.

I personally notice a drastic difference between vegetables cooked with a high quality oil vs vegetables cooked with a cheap, common, store bought oil. A lot of people ask me what my trick is to cooking veggies- and the truth is in the oil! The oils I use flavor my food far beyond the typical oil, and they allow me to use less salt and spices due to their high quality flavor.

I know some people try to avoid using oils, and that's fine too. But for me, as long as I am using a high quality olive or coconut oil - I am set!

So, without further ado, I would like to introduce you to my Oil Tree, by Olive & Co., Oils! And just so you know... this is definitely not a sponsored post. They don't even know I am writing this.

As you can see, I use the tuscan herb and garlic infused olive oils. I also have a regaular extra virgin that I love, as well as a slew of other flavors! However, these two are definitely my favorites because of how versatile they are.

I use these on almost all of my vegetables, and sometimes even on pasta or salad! They have all kinda of flavors and vinegar pairings, so no matter what you are cooking- they can fix you up. Their store is currently on May and Wilshire in OKC, but they will be moving to the Nichols Hills Plaza in a few months.

So, as soon as you're ready to step up your game in the kitchen- head on over to Olive & Co and stock up on all of their infused oils. They truly are my secret ingredient :)
